[ Kurt had gone back and forth about having this conversation for months, at least. The need had pressed more on his mind after Kirk's birthday, though he'd entertained the possibility before. (But he entertains many possibilities, some of which even Kitty never hears a whisper of.)

Finally, he types up a quick message and hits send before he loses his nerve. Again. ]

Are you busy?

Nothing that can't wait. [The answer came not too long afterwards, having got his hands on his com and reading the question.] What can I do for you, cher?

Got a lot on my mind. Care if I swing by?

Sure thing. Is this the kind of talk that needs coffee, or a bottle of something stronger?

Coffee, maybe. I'm a little concerned about the amount of alcohol I've drunk recently. Und my hands are cold.

Will have some set up for you in the ship's kitchen by the time you get here.

You're a good man LeBeau. [Which would be part of the reason behind this talk.

Kurt arrives in the kitchen via the ceiling, skittering along on all fours as is his habit. There's only so much room in this place.] Didn't pull you away from anything, did I?

[That was... always a little disturbing, a little too horror movie, even if Remy was more use to it now days with being on the same ship as Kurt. He could even understand it from a thief point of view, not a lot of people looked up.

But seriously. Still nightmare fuel.]

Hey cheri. [A welcome as he poured them a cup each.] Nah, day off, so just getting some cleanin' done I had put off.

What's up? [It was said with a smirk as Remy looked up at Kurt.

He was just so funny.]

[Kurt snorts, rolling his blank eyes.] You're so hilarious, Remy.

[His feet detach from the ceiling first as Kurt swings down into a seat with the effortless movement of a man for whom inflexible isn't a word in his vocabulary.] I'm glad you weren't busy, though. Wouldn't want to tear you away from something important. [Though his words are.. a little more apologetic than Kurt normally is, his tone is nothing out of the ordinary. Neither is his tail twitching idly, though it stops in favor of curling around the leg of his chair.]

I know I be. [That smirk staying as he took a sip of his own coffee, moving to join Kurt at the table at his own seat.

Remy then waved off any concern as he leaned back in his seat.] Eh, ain't a worry Kurt, really. What's up?

Arrogant. [If he had a napkin at hand, it'd be crumpled and flying at Remy's head. But all he has is coffee, and that is going to be drank.

Rather a large swig of it, the only indication that he's noticed the heat a twitch in his cheek. Kurt sets the mug down, swallows, and continues in the most nonchalant tone he can:] Wanted to talk to you about Jim, actually.

[Remy raised a brow at that, not having an issue with that topic, but also curious what it could be about considering the call to talk.] Oh yeah? What 'bout? He askin' ya to do some sort of really stupid mission thing that really no smart person should do? 'cause I would say, as mutants, we be use to that.

[Kurt snorts.] Think that's why he likes us; we'll go along with his insanity. [The sentence brings on a memory of Jim tinkering with some bit of technology he'd found on one of the many planets they stopped at, his blue eyes electric bright. He scowls, the spade of his tail tapping against the chair leg.] Und ja, he's proposed a rather ridiculous idea. Not entirely without merit, but I have concerns about the repercussions.

[Remy opened his mouth to argue that point, then closed it and nodded.] Yeah, think ya right there. May as well be crazy together.

Oh yeah? [This all was a bit more serious than Remy was expecting, considering who they were talking about, especially now it was ruled out it wasn't some mission for a planet stop or using the ships for something.]

Yeah. [Kurt leans back, his toes curling around the edge of his seat as he drapes one arm across the back. The pose looks rather relaxed, in his catlike way; he can be out of the chair and fighting in an instant.]

He's made it clear to me that he wants a.. tumble in the sheets. I'm not entirely opposed to the idea, however. [And here he tilts his chin slightly, to accent his line of vision being directly at Remy.]

[Pausing just before taking a sip of his coffee, there was a brow that went up rather high on Remy's face, his form going very still and quiet for quite some time as he processed that.

What he and Jim had was... something. More than just fun but also... not that serious. Or was it? He wasn't sure. The thing was, it was Jim, and Remy would never want to curb his fun of being with others. But... he was still trying to figure stuff out, when he was willing to think more into it. So what was this? Kurt bragging? He did know Remy and Kirk had something, right? No, he wasn't that type. Joking about other stuff, but not stuff like this. Then what?

There were several more moments of silence before he finally took that sip, that brow relaxing again, then speaking.] Oh yeah?

[Kurt watches the series of reactions wash across Remy's face, his own drawing taught as his eyes narrow. He pulls in a slow breath through his nose when Remy finally answers, nodding curtly at the question.]

So, he's like that is he? [His tone tries for conversational, but the tightly restrained anger strains it just enough to notice.] When I turn him down, how badly would you like him beaten? Just to bruises or would you like a few scars?

[There was another long, drawn out pause, before Remy pressed his lips together tight, trying to stop it. But couldn't. He started laughing, hard enough he had to put his cup down on the kitchen table to not drop it. After a few moments, including needing to rub a hand across his face to dismiss the laughter, he recovered enough to grin over at Kurt.

You're unbelievable, Darkholme.] Non, non, non, nothin' like that, cher, really. I know Jim sleeps 'round 'nd got others, that who he be. 'nd as hot as a few new scars would be, I think we can save that for when he get himself 'nto his own messes he gotta climb out of, hein?

[Another pause, though lighter than those before as Remy picked his cup back up.] Though, do 'ppreciate ya would go 'nd kick some tail for me. [Really, that was nice to know.] Didn' mean it to get ya worked up. [Then a grin to try and cool Kurt's temper again.] Though, will take ya as m' knight in shinin' armor 'nyday. [Before shooting a wink and a blown kiss in Kurt's direction.]

[Kurt doesn't look convinced by Remy's sudden attack of mirth. He's seen his own version of LeBeau cover up heartbreak before; as with most other emotions he didn't want to show, after the initial shock the man tended to resort to humor.]

Certain about that one? I have to say, you didn't seem very happy about it a moment ago. [The kiss he ignores, because this is Remy. For one, the man would flirt with a fencepost. For another, its blatant enough that he assumes Remy knows he'll see it for a distraction attempt. Still mad, though he doesn't seem inclined to fly off the handle. This is more of a cool anger.]

[He was, for the most.] We're still workin' out what we got, hell, first time we actually talked 'bout it wasn't that long 'go. Just feelin' out how the other feels 'nd thinks on different matters.

'nd it ain't so much him, [Remy admitted.] More that 'm a little confused why ya comin' to me 'bout this. [Before quickly adding.] Not that I against ya tellin' me, just 'nterested to know more why ya be. Haven't really had 'ny of his other partners come to me sayin', 'hey, guess what!' [There was a shrug to follow it up.]

[Kurt nods, making a soft, thoughtful sound halfway between a hum and a growl. It sounds like something that might come out of Sabertooth's mouth in a rare introspective moment, mainly because that's exactly where he learned it. His Victor was more prone to introspection.

Remy's question provokes a slow breath through the nose, discomfort tempering the coldness of his anger. Kurt's gaze flickers down to his neglected coffee, which he continues to look at instead of drinking.] I was.. given the impression that a situation like this, discussion was the thing to be done. Particularly when one isn't quite certain of the.. particulars of the other couple's agreement.

... Can't say 've ever been in such a situation before, Bleu, so goin' to take ya word on this. [Seriously Kurt, cheer up. No one died. And you're starting to make Remy feel uncomfortable too. He's not use to Kurt this wound up.

Taking a moment to digest this all, Remy eventually could only chuckle at how absurd this all was, lowering his coffee so he could run a hand over his face, rubbing his eyes for a moment. But still smiling.] 'ppechiate ya talkin' to me 'bout this, though Kirk 'nd ya be ya own men, so if ya wanna go for it, go for it. Ya big boys. Though, donno who I gotta side with if one of ya end up upsettin' the other, so try avoidin' that so I don't gotta pick sides, hein?

[Kurt snorts, shaking his head.] I'm flattered you think I'm so cosmopolitan, but this is a new situation for me as well. I'm afraid we're both going on the advice of Wrath. [As always, the thought of the woman brings a soft smile to his face, tempering his ire.

Kurt brings his mug up and takes a sip of the cooled coffee, shaking his head slightly.] No danger of that, Remy. I'm only looking to satiate a curiosity, as I'm sure he is. I doubt enough emotion will be involved for us to fight about anything.

'm pretty sure Wrath's advice would 'nclude pink body glitter or something similar. [Though it was nice to see Kurt able to talk about her and not being sad about it. That smile was a nice touch.

And maybe all the more reason this would be good for him.] Well, hopefully this will help with that curiosity then.
