What makes you think I'm only asking you? Someone else is providing the snake.
[He has asked no one else and doesn't expect Remy to do it either. He just needs something to distract him from going to kill Winter right now because that would leave Wrath unguarded. Priorities!]
Ah! My ego! Your aim be true, you hurt me, bleu. Also, I failed to pick up any glitter at our last stop over, but you can help me cut up a bunch of gum packets if you really want something shiny. [Remy was more than ok with acting as a distraction, very capable of filling the void with talk.]
The lady is the one making the requests, not me. I know it breaks your heart, Remy, but you're not on the list of people in the Fleet I'd like to see disrobe.
Was trying to go through the stocks we got on board to see if I could figure out her pizza request, but just missing too many ingredients to even get close to trying to scrape one together. Kind of hard when missing, oh, you know, tomatoes and cheese.
Well aren't you just a marshmallow deep down? I'd warn you about the damage to your reputation, but knowing you you'll spin it to your advantage. Perhaps you should get a cat to round out the 'bad boy with a heart of gold' persona.
You mock, but the femmes certainly like sweet things, especially if chocolate coated. And what does that make you then? A hard candy shell with a gooey center?
I know, right? You'll be sorted in no time. Make someone very happy, provided they don't have fur as well, would hate to think of the static electricity that would cause with all that rubbing. Talk about a way to spoil the mood, unless that's what you're into, and in that case, hey, no shaming, you do what feels right mon ami.
Hell, 'ny fresh fruit or vegetables, ain't the same without them.
[It took so much effort not to roll his eyes at the mention of Rogue's beau, then again Remy was use to biting his tongue about his opinion on Loki around others.] Ya know, the other way 'round, if ya were a homme, would call for a joke 'bout bein' whipped 'bout havin' to call home to be allowed to stay out.
[Glancing at her over his sunglasses, Remy raised a brow before grinning at her.] Now I didn't claim my jokes were 'ny good, ya know. 'nd also know I couldn't really make that joke 'round ya, short of gettin' hit for it.
[Despite a couple of more stops on the way to make sure she wasn't straining herself, the last of the day's sun was vanishing past the treeline as they made themselves to the tree's location. Remy had fished out a light for her to carry, his own flashlight in hand as they walked to make sure they weren't going to trip up on any roots or other foliage.
Pausing just beyond that invisible boundary that seemed to sit around the tree, Remy turned his eyes upwards to the red leaves and intertwined trunk system as his light shone up against the bark. It was quite a site, almost worth the trek in by itself.]
[Feeling cold and exhausted, Rogue was relieved when they finally reached the tree. There was one good thing about it hurting this much to walk: As long as she was concentrating on that, she couldn't think about anything else. She made a point to closely observe their rest stops as she had an idea for how to get them back to the fleet a bit more quickly once they got to the tree.
...and the tree was...] Woah. Lookit the size of this thing.
Yeah. [His own tone sounding distracted as he looked up at the tree.] Hope it ain't one of those cases of just 'cause it looks the part that people thing it magical.
[Drawing himself out of his gaze, Remy shot a smile in her direction.] Why don't ya stretch out a bit to help those muscles of ya's 'nd I'll set 'nough up so we comfortable while we here. [The temperature had dropped a bit, it was smart for them to wrap up while they were out here.]
[Rogue glanced over to him, but didn't mention her plan to get them back in time. She wasn't sure if she'd be strong enough to do it, so she might as well let him make sure they were comfortable.]
Sure, that's a good idea.
[And still keeping one eye on that tree, Rogue began to do just that.]
[Dropping his bag, Remy groaned once he had gotten the weight off his back and raising his arms to stretch out as well. Oh, that was so much better. Rotating his shoulders to work the stress out of them, Remy then crouched to pull out a handful of supplies, including some drink and food for them, extra lighting, and an extra coat. The last which he moved over to her and held out in case she was starting to feel the bite in the air.]
[Well, when she put it that way, it did seem that he had.] Thought might be smart with how cold some of these places get, 'nd didn' know how long we be out here. [Or how she was feeling with her recovery. It was large enough coat that it would had fit either of them, but the cold didn't affect Remy much now days.]
