[Luceti] 1st Shuffle [Accidental voice/video]
[The sound of paper rippled violently in the air was combined with the hollow thuds of something light and small impacting against wood, the image on the camera violently being thrown around at random angles before it landed facing upwards towards the sky. Strands of grass loomed over the view of a tall tree, the camera looking upwards into its branches, as the sound of a voice was close by. A very annoyed and pained voice.
Quickly following behind the journal was the sound of something much larger and heavily falling from the tree branches, hitting quite a few as it dropped. This was the source of the voice, which was now letting out a constant string of curse words in French and grunts of pain. The figure managed to grab hold of one or two limbs during its decent, but was unable to stop the fall, as it finally landed heavily next to the open journal.
At first there was no movement from the person, the only motion visible from that of wind’s moment of the plant life. A groan and the appearance of an arm that partially covered the camera proved the man was still alive, along with a mumble.]
“Merde… Remy, no more drinkin’.”
----
[Having been walking for awhile since his sudden decent into Luceti, the forest was clearing to reveal the town which... god, he was stuck in another hick town. And he thought Bayville was bad. He may as well try the bar Rogue talked about, maybe be able to scam a drink or two out of someone since he had no money on him. The trek through town was interesting, it gave him a starting picture of what the the area looked like. Remy hadn't even begun to figure out what he was going to do when night came, without a place to sleep or money to support himself. He would wing it, see what happened, as normal.]
[Avoiding to elude too much attention from others, or get into a conversation with someone he didn't know, Remy eventually sauntered his way up into the bar, pushing that half hour limit Rogue had originally given him. He was looking a little worse for wear but not showing that it bothered him. He would need to grab something to clean up the scratches, didn't want anything getting infected. Ha! The last thing he needed. Abducted by alien mad scientists. Losing a chunk of memory. And in the middle of who the hell knows where with no one he trusted. Great times.]

voice ; oh! brackets work fine too s'all good!
She answers carefully, peering down at the camera curiously. ]
... Yes, yes we are. It isn't a problem, I hope. [ She lifts one eyebrow at him. ]
Re: voice ; Coolies
Now, chere, think ya can lend a hand ‘nd direct me to people. Rather not keep the squirrels ‘nd raccoons company too much longer, hein?
voice ;
As for people, well, there is a village that you should find, if you follow the river. [ A beat. ] Or, if you ask the squirrels and raccoons for directions.
Re: voice
Doctor Dolittle skills ain't part of my résumé. [That and blowing things up and making them go boom was far more fun. Rolling his shoulders as he walked Remy felt something tickling against his bare back skin and the sensation of something moving back there. His pace slowed as he tried to subtly move towards one of the closer trees. He was going to knock whatever the hell it was off him!
voice ;
But that was okay, because she's noticing his odd behavior, and it concerns her. ] ... How much of Luceti were you told about so far, Gambit?
Re: voice ;
[Damn if he wasn't about to get what the hell was making his back home. Sure, it would make more sense to just brush it off, or check it wasn't going to hurt him first, but judging by the size of it Remy did not want to meet what it was. Not if it was something that had crawled onto him from the tree or forest ground. Lining himself up in front of a tree, he took a swift step back, slapping his bare back against the bark.
It felt like he had just slammed his fingers between a closing door and the frame, but on a bigger scale. His breath lodged itself in his throat as the pain quickly radiated across his back, his knees buckling as his body fell forward onto his elbows. The journal bounced out of his grip and landed beside him, as Remy dropped his head and let out a yelp.]
Merde! Goddamnit! Dieu!
voice ;
Bright Lady-- Remy? Remy, are you alright? [ She frowns. ] I assumed you were told, and I am sorry I didn't warn you earlier. But please, you must be careful with the wings - they are extremely sensitive!
Re: voice ;
[Shooting a glance backwards over his shoulder at the small maroon additions, Remy gave an annoyed shake of his head as he pushed himself up onto his knees, rolling his shoulders once more to try and throw off any lingering pains. They looked more like a waste of space than anything, not even useful due to the size of them.] Why the hell do I have wings?
voice ;
It is part and parcel of coming here to Luceti, Gambit. I'm not sure what you've been told, but the short version of it is that to exist in this world is to have the wings. So please, be very careful with them.
Re: voice ;
Back up on his feet and with a new layer of dirt covering the previous white pants he had on, Remy continued towards this supposed town.] Better be a bar at this place.
voice ;
Re: voice ;
[Between the bits he had gathered from those talking to him, he was more or less hiding any possible freak outs until later. Better to gather information first.] So 'xcatly how long ya'll been stuck here?
voice ;
It's been some time now, and it is different for everyone. But most of us have been here over a year. [ For Rogue, several years. But Ororo is actually pretty careful not to mention Rogue specifically, to Gambit. For reasons. ]
Re: voice ;
[The sinking feeling that they were still here after a year was not a pleasant experience for Remy, who required an exit plan for all situations. The X-Men wouldn't had stayed here by choice, had they? That meant they were prisoners and were stuck here...]

Re: voice ;

Re: voice ;
Ah chere, don't mean to bring up a sore topic. Sure ya'll be wantin' to get 'way from this place for 'while now. [Remy may be rubbing it in a little bit, pointing out the obvious pain and prodding it to make it hurt again, but it was getting him information.] Sorry.
voice ;
Well, of course. There is much to be done at home; why stay here when things are so dire on our own world? [ A subtle question, one that she asks to get her own information out of Remy, though she keeps her voice matter-of-fact.
Re: voice ;
I donno, ya X-Men seem to clean up everything pretty fine. Sure ya get it all under control in no time. Mais I try 'nd stay out of that all, leave it to the professionals. [He had not interest in getting pulled into any mutant/human war. Not until it came knocking at his door at least, but until then, he was prepared to hide away and leave it for everyone else to worry about.]
voice ;
Re: voice ;
[Damnit, she brought that up. That was out of character for the side he wanted the X-Men to see. Not that he had a huge amount of choice in it, Magneto had made all the team try and prevent Apocalypse from waking up. He got hitched up with the two animals to make sure that both came back in one piece... a shame really, would have been nice to lose Fluffy on top of that mountain.]
All part of bein' a hired goon cherie, I do what the boss told me to. He tell me to walk up a mountain with no snow gear 'nd keep those two from guttin' each other, then I don't even ask how high.
[He offered a grin.] I go where the money goes, and ol' Buckethead paid well.
