[Luceti] 1st Shuffle [Accidental voice/video]

[The sound of paper rippled violently in the air was combined with the hollow thuds of something light and small impacting against wood, the image on the camera violently being thrown around at random angles before it landed facing upwards towards the sky. Strands of grass loomed over the view of a tall tree, the camera looking upwards into its branches, as the sound of a voice was close by. A very annoyed and pained voice.

Quickly following behind the journal was the sound of something much larger and heavily falling from the tree branches, hitting quite a few as it dropped. This was the source of the voice, which was now letting out a constant string of curse words in French and grunts of pain. The figure managed to grab hold of one or two limbs during its decent, but was unable to stop the fall, as it finally landed heavily next to the open journal.

At first there was no movement from the person, the only motion visible from that of wind’s moment of the plant life. A groan and the appearance of an arm that partially covered the camera proved the man was still alive, along with a mumble.]

“Merde… Remy, no more drinkin’.”

[Having been walking for awhile since his sudden decent into Luceti, the forest was clearing to reveal the town which... god, he was stuck in another hick town. And he thought Bayville was bad. He may as well try the bar Rogue talked about, maybe be able to scam a drink or two out of someone since he had no money on him. The trek through town was interesting, it gave him a starting picture of what the the area looked like. Remy hadn't even begun to figure out what he was going to do when night came, without a place to sleep or money to support himself. He would wing it, see what happened, as normal.]

[Avoiding to elude too much attention from others, or get into a conversation with someone he didn't know, Remy eventually sauntered his way up into the bar, pushing that half hour limit Rogue had originally given him. He was looking a little worse for wear but not showing that it bothered him. He would need to grab something to clean up the scratches, didn't want anything getting infected. Ha! The last thing he needed. Abducted by alien mad scientists. Losing a chunk of memory. And in the middle of who the hell knows where with no one he trusted. Great times.]

[Ok, he wasn’t imaging things. A good start.]

Where the merde be ya?

[No one was around him, bar whatever wildlife he woke up with his sudden drop onto the scene. It may not be the nicest way to start a conversation up with femme, but in his mind, he deserved some slack considering what had just happened]

[A slight pause. That's not helpful, she realizes.]

I'm-- at home. In-- building five? [The new names of the buildings had yet to settle with her. Also: STILL not useful, Wanda.]

[‘Right here’ did not help, but Remy was not that out of it he couldn’t figure out the direction it came from, which, in this case, was under his hand. Lifting his fingers off the journal, his brows shot up at what looked like a child of a tablet and a book. The face that replied to him was little comfort, and only deepened the feeling of dread in his stomach.] ScarletWitch.

[God damnit! He thought he had gotten away from Magneto and his freak show of mutant supremacy, let along his crazy daughter. The girl was too powerful, and she was one of the few people that caused a very cold tremor down Remy’s back. Anyone who could theoretically move your internal organs to the outside of your body with a wave of their fingers was generally someone the Cajun wanted to stay away from.

Ignoring many of the questions that sprung to mind, including how the hell was he talking to her via a book, and if this was new tech, who could he buy copies of it from, Remy focused on the main matter at hand.]

Where am I? Back in Bayville? [God he hoped not, that place was a shithole.]

Umm. ... It looks like you're in the forest. [ETERNALLY. USEFUL. She tilts her head head looking at what she can see of the backdrop behind him. Yep. Looks like forest.] ... Probably outside of Luceti somewhere.

[Didn't Logan say Gambit had been here? Sure, she hadn't seen him, but the man was a sneak thief, and she admittedly had the awareness of a particularly shiny rock. She was not that surprised he had managed to stay hidden from her all this time.]

[Remy wasn’t an overly patient man, but he held his tongue and closed his eyes to stop them from visibly rolling. Don’t anger the brain melted super mutant, she will liquefy his bones if he pissed her off. Taking a deep breath, and letting it out in a slow stream, he looked back to the video image of Wanda]

Luceti? [He had a name of a location at least, that was a start, lets see if they could build on it.] Where be this ‘Luceti’? [In other words, was there an airport close that he could jump on the first flight out of crazyville and back to his normal life?]

Huh? [Gambit was acting the same way Kurt had, that time he had forgotten coming here, and thought he was fresh, starting at the institute. Perhaps that had happened to Gambit as well.]

Oh. ... Well. Actually ... It's... [It's what< Wanda. Really Far away? Really REALLY far away? How do you describe this.] It's... not on Earth.

[Yes. She finds that to be a VERY good description.]

... Do you not remember coming here?

[Remy’s face went perfectly still, just staring down at the girl in the book.] Non, I guess I forgot it all after the aliens took me up into their ship ‘nd probed me. [Idiot! Why was he listening to her?]

[Because she was the only person around for… who knows how far. He didn’t really have a choice in the matter. With a groan he forced himself up onto his feet, stretching his limbs out to try and get rid of any major kinks the fall has left in his muscles. The scratches he would have just to put up with until he got cleaned up.]

[It gave him a chance to realise he was hardly dressed for a tramp around the countryside, bare-chested and clothed in only a pair of white pants. Hardly his colour. Bending down, Remy scooped up the journal, holding it in one hand as he still struggled to get comfortable, reaching a hand back to try and grab whatever plant life had stuck itself to his back.]

How do I get somewhere civilized?

I would say head towards town, but... I don't know exactly where you are, so I don't know what direction that would be. [Wanda is ALL sorts of useful, today.]

... Are you near a river? Or-- can you hold the journal up? Maybe I'll recognize it...

[Giving up for now on trying to get whatever was clinging to his back (he hoped it wasn’t alive), Remy flipped the book around and slowly turned it in a circle above his head, trying to cover as much ground as possible with it. He wasn’t sure how it would help, there wasn’t really any land markings around, and it would be a waste of time anyway for him since he didn’t know what to head towards.]

Anything?

Hmm.... I think I know it. Or... the area at least. ... If you walk-- away from the sun, you should be headed towards town. [She may not be good at much, but she does have SOME basic field training installed in her.]

[Well, it was a plan, Remy wasn't sure he could trust her ability to tell the correct path, but what the hell. Nothing ventured.] Merci.

[Starting towards the direction he was directed, Remy brought the book back down to eye level, something she said earlier playing on his mind.] ...Not Earth?

Mmm, nope. I'm ... not exactly clear where it is but it's... not earth. ... It's somewhere-- on the other side of the universe. Maybe in a different dimension. I'm not really clear on that... [Says the "brain melted" girl. She wonders idly why he doesn't remember being here, but it's probably just like with Kurt-- a momentary laps or-- a shift or whatever they're called. Either way, it'll be fine. It sort of has to be. They don't really have any other options.]

Quoi? We get thrown into a worm hole or somethin'? [Why was he bothering? It was like talking to John about anything that wasn't fire... or writing, the boy was surprisingly talented at the written word considering he could barely stay still for a full minute.

It didn't matter, as long as he got back home and back to what he did best, Remy would be happy.]

Yeah. ... Basically. You've... actually been here longer than I have. But sometimes people just-- forget. [She shrugs her shoulders, uselessly.] It happened to Kurt, too, but he eventually remembered. Maybe you will too.

[Ok, this was as useful as talking to a brick wall, and made less sense than any conversation with an inanimate object. Assuming she was right, and this wasn't some hallucination of a alochol or drug filled night, or both, then Remy was screwed.

He was in a place he didn't know, with people he didn't want to be around, and apparently he was missing a chunk of memory.

...Yep, better to just assume he was drunk off his ass and was comatose somewhere and this was all a dream. Much easier.]

[Why did Wanda have the feeling Remy was blowing her off? He was using that same patronizing tone Pietro used whenever he wanted her to stop asking questions, or when he was straight up lying and didn't care who knew it.]

... I do say so. [She huffs a little, folding her arms.] ... You'll see.

[Letting out a low chuckle at her switch of tone, Remy grinned at the reaction he got. OK, maybe he could push her a little for his own amusement, but not too far.]

So, ya be in this town then? With the X-Men? [ It was a safe guess, considering the other conversations he was having via the book at the same time. All seemed very calm at the fact he had shown up randomly in a forest and with a new pair of wings.]

In the town, yes. ... With the X-men, no. [Why would he ever even think that? of COURSE not. Though. ... There are those among their number she doesn't mind spending time with. Ugh, his way of phrasing it, though! Regardless, the answer was no.]

They all live in a house together, like back home. ... I live on my own.

[He didn't MEAN it that way, but if she took it like that, then so be it, not his problem.]

Must be a change for ya.

It is. ... [She misses her family. A lot. But on the other hand she sort of has a new family here. Ugh. That's something that still needs to be sorted out. ] It's... Kind of lonely. But people here are very accepting of mutants. ... They're very friendly. Very nice.

[Strange, Remy thought she would of liked to get away from the madness of the Loserhood.]

Got that at least. [In reality, it was nice to hear and one less thing to worry about, any mutant/human hate.]

Huh, that so? [Damn, well that was a little annoying, and more than a little isolating. No one to get his back if he needed a hand. Guess he was soloing it.]
