[Luceti] 4th Shuffle [Action]
[For the most part the item store was generally full of boring stuff. Useful but boring. He got his cards from it, items to slowly fill his apartment, but it was all practical. So it was a surprise for Remy to find a familiar pocket watch on a chain on one of the shelves, one he hadn’t seen for a long time. His father’s. God it brought back memories, how he first ran into the man as a kid, how the old man always carried it on him even during jobs, and how it was always open on his desk when Jean-Luc chewed him out for screwing up. Their relationship had been strained over the years, but never fully broken, and it was nice to have something of the old man’s with him.
Bringing it back home with him, Remy wound the watch to restart it, frowning as he saw it was running slow but left it slowly ticking away before calling it a day. He would get it fixed later.]
Day one:
[The next morning Luceti now had a new child dashing around, a little red and black eyed kid running between stores and getting into all kinds of mischief. Around seven years old, he is seen running between the clothing store to find something that fitted him, hiding in the bakery and snatching sweets when he could, hiding between the shelves of other stores, and around the seating of the bars.
While it was all fun and games, he was looking for his family. Had they left him? It brought back some bad memories of being stuck on the streets, and lil’ Remy was really looking for a friendly face to help him out. He had managed to find his Papa’s watch and was carrying it on him. If the watch was there, his father had to be too.]
Day two:
[Waking up in his apartment again, an older teenage Remy finds himself in a place he doesn’t recognize and is more concerned about the wings than his younger self was yesterday. He’s more use to being alone on a job, being in strange places, but he normally remembers going to those places, not just waking up there. Getting in contact with Henri or his father is his first goal… he may get a little distracted along the way.
Wandering around Luceti, in a trench coat that may be a little big on him (Dude! He’s got a trench coat! How cool.), Remy ends up scouting the area before taking it a bit more casual around the shops and scouting out any local talent. Just cause he was in a place he didn’t know didn’t mean he couldn’t have fun!]
Day three:
[Watch on his person and now ticking faster than it should, a much older, white-haired Remy takes his time exploring Luceti. No trench coat this time, but sunglasses still in place to cover his eyes as he takes a more relaxed pace through the village. It was strange to see some old, but young faces, unsure if he should interact with them or not. Too many memories, not all good.
He won’t plan to go out of his way to see those he knew, but wouldn’t avoid them either.]

Day One? 8D
[While she's looking, she spots Remy hiding and tilts her head curiously.] What are you doing down there?
no subject
What are ya doin' up there! [Smart ass, even at this age, but a large grin showed it was all very funny to him.]
no subject
Looking for electrical lights...? Have you seen any?
no subject
What ya expect? Candles? [He asked, before using the back of his fist to push his new glasses back up on his nose.]
Day 3
"Hey, do you have a minute? I need some help with this."
no subject
"'m sure I have several to offer."
no subject
"Could you just hold this here while I sauter it down?" She'd been lucky enough to find a sautering iron in a shop in the village, and after deconstructing several other pieces of equipment from her apartment, she thought she had everything she needed to put together a new phasemeter. With a few upgrades, of course.

Holding the item as instructed, Remy tapped a knuckle of his free hand against the device, casting a cool eye over it before questioning. "What it made of, 'nd how permanent ya want the welds?" He might be able to do it much quicker than she, and without fussing around with equipment. Enough heat fused more or less anything together.
no subject
"Oh, bits and pieces of other things. And they need to hold pretty well. Why do you ask?" she posed back to him, wondering what he thought he could do that she couldn't manage on her own with the tools she'd acquired.
no subject
Motioning to where it appeared to need a weld, waiting on a confirmation from Jane, Remy pressed a finger against the site and let a spark of a charge run through it. Moving his hand back he tested the weld, making sure it was solid before offering a smile to her.
"Where else?"
[OOC: excuse the slight godmoding, just to jump us forward rather than call for an extra post]
no subject
"That is quite a trick. How does it work?" She pointed to the next few places that needed joined and watched more closely as he handled the welds. It didn't appear to simply be heat that he was generating.
"If you don't mind my asking," she said.
no subject
"Far as I know," He moved to the next spot. "Builds up in my body 'nd I can use it whenever I want to." Before glancing back to her with a smile. "Normally explosively, mais with the right control can do small things too. Heat up cup 'f coffee, crude weldin', melt glass, number of things."
"Certainly has made life interestin'."
no subject
"That's amazing. My name's Jane Foster, and I'm an astrophysicist. If you're interested, I can think of some interesting ways your ability could help me in my research. Feel free to say no, though."
no subject
The request caused him again to laugh, continuing on with the required welding. "Askin' me without buyin' me a drink first? For shame. I donno much 'bout astrophysics, mais sure can work something out."
no subject
"It's really not as complicated as everyone thinks. So how long have you been in Luceti?" she asked, figuring it be nice to learn a bit about him before asking him to become a human battery. That's what she saw in his ability - a power source strong enough to fuel her equipment.
no subject
"How ya findin' yaself here? Been here a few months, gotten 'nd idea what this place all be 'bout?" However before Remy gave her a chance to offer an answer, another question came to mind.
"Can ya experiments even work in here, we be stuck under a dome 'fter all."
no subject
"I'm doing okay here. I was lucky, there were people here that I knew, and I've made some new friends too. I keep reminding myself that it could be worse." She could be back on the Dark World, for instance.
She shrugged to the question about her experiments. The point wasn't the results, it was the process of attempting. It made her feel like things were closer to normal.
"There's only one way to find out."
no subject
"Ah, good for ya cherie," Remy commented on her mention of knowing residents of Luceti. "Hope they all be friends ya know here, can be a shock to find yaself 'mong enemies instead."
no subject
"Do you know Thor? Did he mention me and what I do?"
no subject
"Know of him, haven't had the chance to talk to the man yet. Pretty impressive on the battle field. 'nd ya just said ya were an astrophysicist." He backed it up with a smile.
no subject
With the welds completed, she slid the electronic board into the casing she'd made. She would have to wait for nightfall to test and see if the device worked.
"Thanks again for your help. If you want to see if it works, I'll be in the big clearing in the woods tonight testing it out."
no subject
"'nd merci, I might just take ya up on that. Can't say 'll understand all that be goin' on, but can pretend I do."
no subject
"Thanks again for your help. You saved me a ton of time."
no subject
Giving a tip of an imaginary hat, Remy moved to continue along the path he took before stopping to help Jane. "'ll see ya later tonight then cherie, nice meetin' ya."
